Pistachi-YES (aka another giveaway!!)

Are you sad that pistachios have been recalled? I was, too, until I found out that the pistachios from Everybody’s Nuts are safe! Even better, Everybody’s Nuts has offered to send a prize pack of three bags of their yummy nuts to one lucky reader. Check the bottom of the post for more details!

Dinner last night was more delicious Mediterranean pasta mix on top of about three cups spinach and arugula (looooooove arugula!). And love the parm:

I chopped my pineapple and ate the core plus what I could salvage from the scraps for dessert. (The dark blob is not a turd. It is a fingerful of cashew-almond butter!)

Nut recalls make me sad because I don’t always check and then pay for it later. Two months ago I got sicker than i’ve ever been only to find out it was due to nuts in a bar we had at the office. Three of us were stuck at home for the next day! Boo!!
    I’ll be linking back tonight!

Nut recalls make me sad because they are such a constant part of my diet. They keep me full, give me energy, and taste so gosh darn yummy… I don’t know if I could ever really go that long without ’em.

    How’s that for a response 😉

    Great blog!

Nut recalls are so sad. I even wrote a paper on the evils of it. I eat them everyday and throwing out my PB larabars was one of the saddest things I’ve ever done! It took me about a week to go through with it.

Nut recalls make me sad since it means someone isn’t doing their job right along the way and I’m stuck tossing all that yummy goodness in the trash…what a waste!

P.S. that pineapple looks amazingly tasty…

Nut recalls make me sad because for one, I like nuts and nut butters! They also make me sad because it makes me worry about the cleanliness and safety of our food industry.

nut recalls make me sad because it makes us scared of food. and as a recovering anorexic, i’m scared of nuts. this gives me a reason to be like, i will never eat nuts not just because of fat and calories, but because “they’re unsafe”. that’s why i hate recalls. i don’t have a blog- unless you count the one on food buzz!

It makes me sad because I love nuts… Pistachios and almonds, though a bit expensive for me to buy regularly, are full of wonderful deliciousness, and I would be even more sad to get sick from them than from something I’d normally get sick from. Also, nut butter sandwiches are a staple of my poor-college-kid diet.

So, I make this amazing pistachio pesto last week. (The nuts from Trader Joe’s weren’t recalled – phew!) Last week, after I ate it for lunch, I read about the recall. I felt a bit queesy, and I also felt sad because I didn’t want to the food to go to waste!!! 😦

The nut recall makes me sad because every time I walk into Tasti Delite and look at the cases of pistachios ready to be scooped into a bag and weighed, I have to remember that I cannot do it!

what is with all these recalls??? i love me some nuts, and i don’t discriminate 😉 i would like to think they’re safe all of the time but now i’m thinking it’s too easy to contaminate…

Nut recalls are disappointing because I rely on nuts to get healthy fats, and I shouldn’t have to worry about my food being contaminated!
