Free food time! Every six months or so, Bob’s Red Mill sends me a box of awesome as part of their Heroes of the Mill program. I think my membership in this program is a remnant from when I was a serious food blogger, and I am definitely not complaining.
Butter is the new broccoli. Haven’t you heard?
If I haven’t written about food much lately, it’s because we are too busy cooking it and eating it. Life sometimes feels like one big whirlwind of food preparation, and even I get sick of thinking about it! We have been carving away at our stores of goodies from last year’s farm season and have tragically finished our freezer meat, canned tomatoes, and sweet potatoes. We are down to just six lonely butternut squashes.
I have three exciting (for me) food updates today: the state of baby-led weaning, our local seafood adventures, and my new love of stuck-inside-all-day-thanks-to-four-feet-of-snow baking.
