My favorite part of a long run is eating after it :-). Kate and I did 7.5 miles (two loops of Prospect Park + the jog there from my apartment), and I spent pretty much the entire time envisioning my lunch. Stats: 1 hour and 15 minutes, 654 calories, 155 average heart rate, 181 highest heart rate. After the run, I did my 20-minute Gentle Hatha #1 yoga download for a good stretch. And then it was lunchtime!
I had half of a toasted pumpernickel bagel with another tbsp of peanut butter, the other 1/3 banana, and a sprinkle of cinnamon AND a cup of kale and date curry with a dollop of plain yogurt and an extra sprinkle of curry powder:
Mmmmmmm.
And mmmmm again.
I have a feeling that dinner is going to be happening very soon!
Fabulous run and eats!!

So just as I promised you on the phone when you called this morning, I’m letting you know that we did work out, and it was nice to spend the time together on such a worthy endeavor. John will be out of town on business all this week, and it would be great if I could motivate enough to go to at least my yoga class-we’ll see. Isn’t gentle yoga the best? I know you’ve come with me to class when you’ve been home, but it’s great that you’ve discovered a way to enjoy it in NYC. Talk later. Love you, Mom
